Mueller now on tumblr!

If you fancy a more in-depth look into Christoph Mueller’s work process and going-ons we have good news for you! Mueller has just started his very own tumblr blog, which will feature updates on a more regular basis, including behind-the-scenes content, intimate sketch book doodles, personal confessions and more! But best of all Mueller will write the blog in first person (that’s right, in harsh contrast to this web-site, which he has executed in third person for over six years and which has left its share of psychological implications …)

So, please feel free to come on over!

Parish, Maiden, Forge artwork

Christoph Mueller has recently created a series of “banners” for the Forge Publick Houese of Fort Collins, Colorado, the Parish Publick House of Santa Cruz, California, and the Maiden Publick House of Big Sur, California. Each accompanied by a unique coaster design. The artwork features Mueller’s trademark attention to detail and meticulous line work executed strictly by hand in the tradition of times long gone by. We have gathered a selection of impressions of the beautiful work for you to enjoy above.

HEY! No. 11 featuring 18 Pages on Christoph Mueller

We would like to describe HEY! as a rather voluptuous art magazine that has made its goal to combine the so called (and in lack of a better word) “high-brow” with the (again, lacking a better word)”low-brow”. Some may compare it to like-minded publications from the American continent, however, HEY! surpasses most of them in extent and quality. Besides a general recommendation on our part, we would especially like to endorse the current issue, as it includes 18 pages dedicated to Christoph Mueller. The French magazine is published bilingual in French and English and is available in stores around Europe at the moment. You may also order your copy online here.

Mineshaft 28 Cover-Artwork by Christoph Mueller!

After a long time without any updates from us we are today happily announcing that Christoph Mueller is now a member of the Mineshaft cover artists club. Yes, Mueller had the pleasure to create the cover for Mineshaft #28, due out this October. He joins the ranks among such colorful artists as Robert Crumb, Kim Deitch, Phoebe Gloeckner, Frank Stack, Peter Bagge, Billy Childish, Jay Lynch, Mary Fleener, Sophie Crumb, Pat Moriarity and more.

What has kept Mueller so busy all this time beside the Mineshaft artwork you may rightly ask. Well, Mueller has been working on his very first book, “The Mighty Millborough, Contes d’un Homme de Gout”, which will be published in France by 6 pied sous terre editions in January 2013. If you would like to get a sneak-preview of this beautiful volume you will be able to find a four-page mini-story in Mineshaft #28.

Be sure to order your copy directly from the fine folks at Mineshaft Magazine, where you will be able to see more pictures and previews as well!
