… New art by Christoph Mueller!

Limited Edition Screen Prints

Christoph Mueller has recently been busy creating three different editions of screen prints. All of which were hand-pulled by Mueller himself. His artwork has never been available in this form before. “I was surprised at the amount of detail this printing technique is able to capture.” Mueller says. “I also like that these prints are a product of manual labor, they are hand-made. You know, that keeps the soul in the pictures, as a friend of mine has put it. I think she is right.” Everyone seeing the prints will agree that the screen printing process really does justice to the painstaking detail of Mueller’s work. Mueller was aided by Timo Turiaux.

The prints will be available for purchase for the first time at this July’s Deep Blues Music & Film Festival in Lake Elmo, MN.

Pirate Radio logo by Mueller

The fine folks of the Smooth & Demented Show of Austin’s pirate radio station KAOS Radio recently asked Christoph Mueller to redraw their show logo. Smooth & Demented is your number one source for insurgent country music, all commercial free, purely for the love of music. Each show features an artist performing live down at the Smooth & Demented studio. Check their site for download information. There will be a small edition of shirts featuring the new design in the near future available from Smooth & Demented as well.

Mueller at Deep Blues Festival!

On special invitation by the organizers of the Deep Blues Festival Christoph Mueller will be showing his art this July in St Paul, Minnesota. The Festival marks Mueller’s very first North American art showing.

The Deep Blues Festival may very well be the most important alt-blues festival of this year featuring not only artists like: Scott Hiram Biram, Possesed by Paul James, CuzN Wildweed, Dexter Romweber Duo, Gravelroad, The Pack A.D., Left Lane Cruiser, Black Diamond Heavies, Bob Log III, The Moaners and The Legendary Shack Shakers, but also extending into a top notch indy-folk-filmfestival with showings of first rate films as M.A. Littler’s The Folksinger (featuring Possesed by Paul James and Scott H. Biram), J.D. Wilkes’ & Blake Judd’s Seven Signs, R. Smith’s My Blue Star (a special pre-screening of this dedicated documentary of Hasil Adkin’s later years featuring Hank III, Joe Coleman and special artwork by Christoph Mueller) and Nick Robespierre’s documentary on the modern day cowboys Running Heavy. Deep Blues Festival will be about more than music, it will be about more than film, it will be about more than art. It will be about some people persuing their ways despite the worst odds; about a culture that feeds on passion and washes it all down with Moonshine.

this road i travel on*

(trucker’s lament)

i see her face in every passing headlight,
i yern for her touch in every passing mile,
this lonely road that I am traveling,
i only drive to bring me closer to her smile

*spontainiously inspired while gazing
at Mueller’s latest “Angel Of Faith” artwork.
The Mueller Girls move me
in a strangely spiritual way.
I believe they are muses.
Muses who’s beauty & emotion
Christoph renders and transmits
out into the Great Eternal Cosmic.

That’s what Mueller’s artwork is,
they’re road signs along the
Great Cosmic Highway.

Hoodang performs at Mueller’s place

Here is a message from Christoph Mueller:
I had the great pleasure to welcome David Rossiter and his wife Val on March 4th here in Aachen. Some of the nicest people I ever met. To me David is one of the most skilled and smartest songwriters around these days. His lyrics really talk to me. His music is authentic. I have received lots of inspiration from it.

In the evening we got together at my place for an unforgetable house concert. You can watch a clip of David performing his all new song “Red House” below. It was the first time he performed it publically, not even Val had heard it before. A real premier right there in my ol’ place …

Make sure to check David’s MySpace page, lots of more fine music there! And if you ever have the chance to see Hoodang live do not miss it!
